The world's largest oxy-fuel photovoltaic glass kiln was recently ignited in Hefei, and the development of Rainbow (Hefei) photovoltaic glass phase II project entered a new stage.


"Rainbow Group entered Hefei in 2011 and invested in three major projects in succession. Hefei has become one of the most important industrial bases of Rainbow Group." Si Yuncong, general manager of China Electronic Rainbow Group, said that the Hefei municipal government is very pro-business, and the group plans to further increase its investment in Hefei to achieve common development.


It is reported that the project has a total investment of 750 million yuan to build an all-oxygen burning photovoltaic glass furnace with an extraction capacity of 800 tons/day, and it is supported by four single-line calendering glass production lines with a capacity of 200 tons/day and corresponding glass coating and tempering production lines. The construction period of the project is 12 months. This means that after the project is put into production, the annual output of 3.2mm thick coated tempered photovoltaic glass is 24.8 million square meters, which can support 3.5GW photovoltaic modules. After the completion of this project, Rainbow (Hefei) Photovoltaic Park will become the world's largest production base of oxy-fuel single photovoltaic glass, with an annual output value of 1.2 billion yuan.


"The oxy-fuel combustion kiln has the advantages of low energy consumption, low emission and high quality. Compared with ordinary kilns, it is 30% energy-saving, green and environmentally friendly. The flue gas emission index of the kiln is far below the national standard, and the yield rate reaches the leading level in the industry." Xiaoning Chen, general manager of Rainbow Hefei Photovoltaic, told the reporter that the high-tech content of this project makes full use of the mature technology and industrialization technology of the super-large photovoltaic glass oxy-fuel burning kiln in the first phase of Rainbow Hefei Photovoltaic, ensuring safety, stability and technical reliability.


The reporter learned that the second phase of Rainbow includes the construction of kiln, calendered glass production line and corresponding edging and coating. After the ignition heats up, the project will enter the baking stage. It is expected that the whole line will be connected in the middle and late November, and the finished photovoltaic glass will come out and be sent to photovoltaic module factories such as Trina Solar and Jingao Solar.


It is understood that the project will also build a green integrated intelligent demonstration factory to realize integrated data control of the whole line, and the whole process of the production line will be integrated, linked, intelligent, informational and continuous. The production line is fully compatible with the flexible production of 2.0~4.0mm coated tempered photovoltaic glass, and the technology and finished products are at the international leading level.
