Folding crucible kiln


One or more crucibles are placed in the kiln chamber. Each stage of glass melting (melting, clarification, homogenization and cooling) in the crucible kiln (schematic structure of crucible kiln in Figure 1) is carried out in the same crucible in turn with the passage of time, and the temperature system in the kiln changes with the passage of time. During molding, materials are taken from the crucible mouth manually, and then blown, pressed, drawn, poured, etc., or the bottom of the crucible can be supplied, or the whole crucible can be removed to take materials. Crucibles are mostly made of clay, but platinum is also useful. There are two shapes: open and horizontal (closed). The crucible mouth of the open crucible faces the kiln chamber, which can directly obtain the heat energy radiated and transmitted by the kiln wall and heat source; The crucible mouth of the horizontal crucible faces the outside of the kiln, and the heat is obtained indirectly through the crucible wall, which can avoid the influence and pollution of the atmosphere in the kiln on the glass liquid. Crucible kiln is suitable for melting glass with small output, many varieties or frequent change of materials.


2. Folding tank kiln


The kiln chamber contains a melting pool made of refractory materials, and the batch is put into the melting pool. There are two kinds of tank kilns: intermittent and continuous. Intermittent pool kiln, also known as sun pool kiln, is generally small, and the molten pool area is only a few square meters. After the melting process is completed, most of the materials are taken from the material inlet by manual or semi-mechanical molding. Suitable for producing special glass. Most tanks and kilns are continuous (the structure of continuous tank and kiln is shown in Figure 2), and each melting stage is carried out in different parts of the kiln. The temperature system of each part is stable. The batch is fed from the feeding port, undergoes the process of melting, clarification and homogenization of the molten glass in the melting part, and then is transferred to the cooling part for further homogenization and cooling, and then enters the molding part for final homogenization (including homogenization of the temperature of the molten glass) and stable feeding temperature. Due to the low temperature of the molten glass near the bottom of the tank kiln, it is in a stagnant state, so the total capacity of the molten glass in the tank kiln is greater than that of the working glass, and the feeding amount and molding amount of continuous operation are in balance. The molten glass is formed by continuous mechanization. The scale of the tank kiln is expressed by the melting area (m□). The melting area of large-scale tank kiln for producing bottles and cans of glass is more than 150m□, the production capacity is usually 300~400t/24h, and the melting rate is 2.5~3t/24h□m□. Continuous tank kiln has large capacity, less relative heat loss and higher thermal efficiency than crucible kiln, which is suitable for continuous production in large quantities and with high efficiency.
